Nepal wins a thriller against Kuwait (With scorecard)

         Nepal won a nail-biting thriller against Kuwait by just 1 run in a must win match today at TU Ground.
Nepal bowlers tried everything to restrict Kuwait below the target but the match came to the wire at the last over. Prithu Baskota was given the ball and he gave SIX in his first ball, then wicket off a wide ball. He gave 3 wides in a row. It was wicket again in his second ball, a single in his third. Azmatullah Nazeer then hit fourth ball out of the boundary. The pressure was on both the team.

SAFF Championship: Nepal Beats Bangladesh After 18 Years!

       Nepal National team defeated Bangladesh 1-0 after a gap of eighteen years as skipper Sagar Thapa scored the stunner in the last minute of the injury time at the JLN Stadium, New Delhi on Sunday..    Nepal have last won the match against Bangladesh in 1993. The score was 1-0 in the South Asian Games that Nepal won the gold beating India.

ACC revise fixtures for Twenty20 Cup

Asian Cricket Council (ACC)  revised the groupings and fixtures for the ACC Twenty20 Cup to be held in Kathmandu in December.
After the revision, Nepal is now placed in Group B along with Hong Kong, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia. Whereas Afghanistan, Malaysia, Bhutan, Oman and the Maldives are grouped in Group A.
In the earlier draw, which according to ACC was mistakenly published, Malaysia and Bhutan were in Nepal´s group while Hong Kong and Kuwait were in Group A.

Nepal crashes out of SAARC cricket

                         Nepal crashed out of the ongoing SAARC U-25 Twenty20 Cricket Tournament after losing its last league match against Pakistan by 74 runs in the Maldives on Saturday. ACC TWENTY20 CUP FIXTURES RELEASE



The schedule for the third ACC Twenty20 Cup has been released. The tournament takes place in Nepal from December 1 to 11. The three top teams, along with Afghanistan who have prequalified by virtue of their ODI status, will move forward to the ICC World Twenty20 Qualifier in the UAE in March 2012, from which the top two will play in the ICC World Twenty20 in Sri Lanka. The ACC teams taking part are those who will also be in the ACC Trophy Elite next year.

 Nepal pulled out an amazing victory in the second match of the SAARC U-25 Twenty20 Cricket Tournament against India(KIC) by six wickets at the Ahmed Ali Didi grounds in Maldives on Thursday.
Winning the toss, India decided to bat first and made a big total of 218 runs playing all 20 overs loosing 4 wickets. Rahul Bhatkal scored 99 not out for India. Nepali skipper Paras Khadka grabbed three wickets for Nepal.

CAN names squad for SAARC U-25 T20

KATHMANDU, Oct 17: Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) on Monday named a 14-member Nepali U-25 cricket team for the First SAARC U-25 Twenty20 Cricket Tournament to be held in the Maldives from October 31 to November 7.

National team captain Paras Khadka and vice-captain Gyanendra Malla retain their positions in the U-25 squad also.

Match-fixing claims 'baseless': Cricket Australia

Cricket Australia chief James Sutherland on Tuesday said allegations made in a London court implicating Australian players in match-fixing were baseless claims made by a person of "dubious repute".

The details emerged as Mazher Mahmood, the former investigations editor for Rupert Murdoch's now-defunct News of the World, gave evidence at the trial of ex-Pakistan cricket captain Salman Butt and fast bowler Mohammad Asif.
